Bodie Foundation Tour Guide

Part Time – As Needed

$18.00/hour

Works under the guidance of the Tour Program Coordinator for the Bodie Foundation.

This position will be a part time Tour Guide for the Bodie Foundation.

Requirements:

• Possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance

• Live Scan (fingerprint criminal history check)

• Willingness to wear a Bodie Foundation provided uniform

• Willingness to work weekends and holidays

• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and Word

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time at high elevation

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

• Bodie history

• Interpretation background

• Knowledge of the Bodie Foundation and the work that we do

• Willingness to accept other duties as assigned

Tour Guide Duties:

• Guide groups of visitors on tours through Bodie

• Communicate with Tour Program Coordinator regarding schedule, visitor names, meeting locations, follow up information regarding tour.
